Cosy Italian Restaurant
Location
After reading the good reviews, I booked this restaurant via The Fork app where there was a 50% discount on the a la carte menu.
It was a warm Saturday summer night, I reached the restaurant, for a dinner, walking down Playa del Duque promenade.
It is located between Playa del Duque and La Caleta in Costa Adeje, Tenerife South.
Ambience
The restaurant has recently opened its doors, it is small with a few tables where you can enjoy the Ocean view from the terrace and the atmosphere is cosy.
There was pop music in the background.
Staff and service
As soon as I stepped in, a smiley waitress welcomed us and accommodate us at one of the available tables but unfortunately, it was not on the first line even though I requested it on my booking notes.
Cuisine Type
Since I am Italian, I am very familiar with Italian cuisine and I was not surprised to see some Italian ingredients and dishes on the menu.
The menu is not very vast, in fact, there are only a few options for each course.
You can find below the dishes that I have chosen for my dinner.
Pinsa Burrata with mortadella and pistacho
Perfect to share.
The pinsa is crunchy and the burrata is soft, fresh and creamy.
Grilled octopus served on mashed potatoes with sweet paprika
Overall was good, but I would have preferred the octopus to be less cooked.
Cheesecake topped with Nutella
Not the traditional cheesecake but good.
Water
To help the planet and follow the KM 0 culture, the water is filtered and it has been served in a bottle of 700 ml, where you can read all the info about it.
Pet friendly
During my dinner, not far from my table, there was a couple with their dog, so the restaurant welcomes pets as well.
Bill
The price was 45,50 Euro, but thanks to a discount obtained via The Fork, the final bill was 24 Euro
My Opinion
The food is good and the staff is friendly, so if you are looking to have a meal while you are on lunch break from the beach or just want to dine in a quiet ambience far from the chaos, this is the right place.
Positive note: it’s an authentic Italian restaurant.
Negative note: the booking note has not been respected and I think it was a bit overpriced if excluding the discount.
