Tasting menu experience at Restaurant Donaire in Tenerife

Location

The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of GF Victoria, a 5-star GF Hotel on Adeje‘s coast in Tenerife next to Playa del Duque, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. I have selected this venue to celebrate my birthday and it was a very good choice.

Ambience

The ambience is elegant, the main colour is white with a see-through kitchen, and there are big glass windows where you can enjoy the view of the coast and the Atlantic ocean.
During the dinner, there was soft background music.

Cuisine type

The cuisine is Spanish contemporary and the ingredients are predominantly from the Canary Islands.

Chef

The chef, Francisco Expósito, personally met us before the end of the dinner and it was nice meeting him so we could compliment him on the menu.

Staff and service

The staff is very attentive and professional. Each dish has been properly presented. They all speak English and are always ready to serve you water before the glass is empty.

Menu

There a 2 menu options:

• “Victoria”, is a 9-course meal for 85 Euro per person
• “Donaire”, a 6-course meal for 75 Euro per person

My choice was the Donaire Menu.

Pork Belly

Goat yogurt, turmeric and banana, sweet potato-annatto puree

Ambar

Apricot, yuzu, almond, orange blossom

Sauvage

Arabica coffee 100%, mango, coconut-bay leaf

Petite Fours

Including gingerbread biscuits, macaroon and chocolate-filled peanuts

My opinion

I strongly recommend this restaurant, it can be a perfect location for a romantic dinner or you can choose it for a special occasion, believe me, you will not be disappointed!

Negative note: a dish has been served while I was not at the table
