Hello, copiers, followers and etorians!
This is the monthly update on my investment portfolio:
- April  2024: -11.60%
- YTD: +8.03%
- 2023: +11.34%
- The risk score is 6
- Currently, 14Â people are copying my trades
In April, my portfolio closed the month in negative as well as the main US big indexes such as the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100.
It has been a very volatile month with a strong selloff of stocks, bonds, commodities and cryptos.
The main reasons are:
- The rising of the US inflation rate
- Geopolitical tensions
Negative months are normal and temporary for the financial markets, what matters is always the time horizon of your investments so don’t panic and remember that my portfolio is designed to perform very well in the long term.
The positive side is that the market drops can allow us to buy at a lower price.
I will continue to monitor the financial markets daily and implement my strategies for the long term.
Asset Allocation and Strategy Update
The current asset allocation of my portfolio is:
- 43% Stocks
- 31% ETFs
- 4% Crypto
- 22% Cash
I closed some positions in profit and decided to use part of my cash in balance to open new long positions in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
I added to my portfolio, for the first time, cryptos because I wanted to diversify my investments, lower the risk score and take advantage of those asset drops.
In April, I attended Blockchain Life Forum and Token 2049 in Dubai, two of the major events related to Web3 and the Crypto world in general, where I had the opportunity to listen, learn, interview and network with the best experts.
The takeaway is that everyone is expecting a bullish year and people are excited about the near future.
Recommendations
These are my recommendations for copiers and anyone who wants to invest in my portfolio:
- Invest more than 2,000 USD
- Keep the copy open for long-term
If you have less than 2,000 USD, you can start with a lower amount now and add more later.
Now is still a good time to start investing in my portfolio if you are new, or you can add more funds to your copy if you are already a copier.
Goals
My 2024 goals are:
- Outperform the S&P 500
- Keeping the risk score to medium
- To become a Champion Popular Investor
