Hello and welcome to the August 2023 eToro Portfolio Update.
PI Statistics
I am a Cadet Popular Investor.
My eToro username is PassionForProfit.
The risk score of my portfolio is 3, which is very low.
Currently, 14 people are copying my trades.
Portfolio’s Performance
August has been a negative month for the US stock market.
All three US major indexes closed the month with a loss of around 2% each.
Because of this, my portfolio in August has gone down by 1.89%.
August is historically a weak month for investments due to the lower trading volume during the summer holidays.
Market Forecast
The latest US inflation data has shown a small increase compared to July’s number and this could be the reason why the Federal Reserve may hike the interest rate once again at the next meeting on 20 September.
Closely watched is also the job market that remains strong in the US based on recent data.
Investors, however, are expecting a no-interest rate increase by the FED this month.
The stock market will be highly influenced by the next Federal Reserve monetary policy action that could lead to a stock rally or a drop.
Asset Allocation
The current asset allocation of my portfolio is:
- 25% Stocks
- 50% ETFs
- 25% Cash
Recommendations
These are my recommendations for copiers and anyone who wants to invest in my portfolio:
1. Be patient and remain calm
2. Keep the copy open for long term
3. Invest more than 2,000 USD
If you have less than 2,000 USD, you can start with a lower amount now and add more later.
Now is a good time to start investing in my portfolio if you are new, or you can add more funds to your copy if you are already a copier.

- To close this year in profit
- Keeping the risk score low
